This post is a continuation of the SIMPLE TRICK OF ADJUSTING MICROSOFT WORD 2010 (Part-2)dan SIMPLE TRICK OF ADJUSTING MICROSOFT WORD 2010 (Part-1).
The following is how to set the Default Page Layout - Page Setup in Microsoft Word 2010 to make typing easier
Click on Page Layout - Page Setup
Next will appear as shown below
Next set Paragraph - Margin like in the picture above. The circled part is the Margin (Top-Bottom-Left-Right) set to type 2.54 cm (this means our typing sheet applies 2.54cm upper-bottom-left-right left-hand border), Orientation is set to Portrait (this means typing paper with portrait view, or long down). We can also change with other settings, the example above is a type of arrangement that is commonly used in typing papers (while the thesis is generally used Top (4cm), Bottom (3cm), Left (4cm) and Right (3cm))
Furthermore, the important thing is to default or apply these settings so that the settings take effect every time we open a new page (New) in Microsoft Word. The method can be seen in the following picture
Click on Set As Default. Then it will appear as shown below
Click Yes. This means This Change will affect all documents based on the NORMAL template (or roughly "this change will take effect when we will type in File - New (or new file).
Next for paper type or paper settings. Repeat step (1), it will appear as shown below
Select (1) Paper, (2) Paper Size - A4 210 x 296 mm, and (3) Set As Default
Next the image below will appear
Click Yes. This means This Change will affect all documents based on the NORMAL template (or roughly "this change will take effect when we will type in File - New (or new file)
If you have done these sequences, try closing the file that you are opening, then reopening Microsoft Word 2010, and checking whether the Margins and Paper settings that you have Default are applied to the sheet as well
Thus the SIMPLE TRICK OF ADJUSTING MICROSOFT WORD 2010 (Part-3) Especially for the Default Margins and Paper settings
You can also apply this Default to other features in Microsoft Word 2010, and the thing you have to remember is that the defaults that you apply are general or standard typing that are useful when starting typing, not unusual settings such as sheet colors, page borders , column (which does not have to be Deafult)
May be useful
