Generally regression, t-test and F-test which are part of statistics use SPSS Software.
This encounters problems for two reasons, the first is that most laptops or installed computers do not have SPSS software, the second reason is that not all laptops or computers are able to operate SPSS.
Common software that is always installed on a laptop or computer is Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint). Therefore in this post we will discuss how to do a regression analysis, UJI-T and UJI-F by using Microsoft Excel (in this post using Microsoft Excel 2010).
Following are the steps.
Open Microsoft Excel 2010
By default, the installation of Microsoft Excel 2010 does not yet bring up features to analyze regression, t-test and F-test. therefore we must activate it in the following way:
Open the data to be analyzed. For example here there are dependent variable (Y) requests (PERMINTAAN) , and 3 independent variables / free X1 = price (HARGA), X2 = income (PENDAPATAN), and X3 = consumer tastes (SELERA KONSUMEN)
Then click Data Analysis, the Data Analysis window will appear, look for Analysis Tools - Regression, then click OK
Next enter the Y values (Input Y Range) by highlighting all Y values from top to bottom, do the same thing on the X values (Input X Range). In Input X Range highlight all values of X1, X2, and X3 from top left to bottom right
Then the regression value has appeared with the following details
Y = 1,033 - 0,127 X1 + 0,047 X2 + 1,353 X3
R = 0.715
R Square of 0.511
F count = 14,261
t count 1 is equal to -2,433
t count 2 is equal to 0.291
t count 3 is equal to 4.107
and other values
